It Tastes Like Burning

Right now I’m down in Laguna Beach, CA for a couple of days and though I knew the fires were bad, it’s amazing the effect its having on the environment down here. It smells of smoke the entire drive down the PCH and 405. Looking out at the ocean the horizon is barely discernable from the sky, but rather it’s all gradations of hazy grey. Ash floats in the air very, very lightly, almost like a first snow but wispier.
