Creative Works Will

Neil Gaiman was prompted by the death of a friend to enlist the help of a lawyer in drafting a template for a will that covers what happens to an author’s creative works after their death. In other words, who gets their words. His template is geared towards authors but such a thing strikes me as an excellent idea for developers as well, specifically those of us who spend our spare time working on our own projects. Maybe having your repository on Sourceforge will be enough, but what about the rest of it?

Ask yourself this: if you die, who gets your code?

Tangentially: if you die, who gets your email?

Neil’s Simple Will.
