From that same Globe and Mail article on Nova Scotia legalizing Sunday shopping:

Also, arguing that Nova Scotia is no less culturally unique than Quebec, [Mr. Lohnes] said the government should use the notwithstanding clause to get around the ruling.

“We don’t feel that we should do what everybody else does. If 20 people jumped off the bridge, we wouldn’t feel we had to do the same.”

Not so fast there fella. If Nova Scotia is building its bridges as culturally uniquely as Quebec is, he may very well want to reconsider that.
