This afternoon I went back the ICBC with my birth certificate, passport, Ontario driver’s license, SIN card and nice letter from my mom (trump that ICBC!) and got my brand new, printed on yellow paper, temporary BC driver’s license. I didn’t know that if you get one in one province they take away the one from the other province. If I had known it would have occurred to me sooner that….
You remember the epilogue from yesterday’s tale in which I sit in The Elbow Room and contemplate the official-looking document that says you must have two pieces of valid photo ID to get a drink in BC. Guess how many I have now? Guess what the temporary driver’s license doesn’t have on it?
I knew I should have gotten drunk yesterday.
