Govt of Canada’s Website Continues to Suck

First it was tbe Government of Canada’s ePass system that sucked, now it’s the census system. This year the government provided the option to either fill out the regular ol’ paper census or complete it online. And apparently the risk of not completing the census is a $500 fine and three months in jail so I, in the interest of civic duty (and not going to jail - I don’t want to know where on the jail heirarchy ‘census failure’ stands), decided to fill it out online.
Apparently the online system was created by Lockheed-Martin. I sincerely hope they make better planes and weapons than they do web applications:

Given that this was at 6:30pm on the last day of the census I can only hope this is due to server over-load. Which would be extremely unimpressive in its own right.
Update: It’s 10:10pm and the site finally loaded after much refreshing. I have to say that the process itself is quite nice once you’re in, intelligently preloading data and customizing subsquent screens to prior input. Guess it was just severely over-loaded.
