Don’t Buy RAM From Apple

RAMThis post from Joey about his quest to find RAM for his PowerBook makes me think I should mention the, the cardinal rule of buying a Mac:

Never, ever buy extra RAM from Apple. You’ll never get a good price for it.

Buy the minimum your machine comes with and then shop around. A little online shopping for RAM by the likings of Viking or Kingston will find you a decent price if you’re willing to do the leg work.
