A political ass-kicking

Forty minutes into the American presidential candidate’s debate and Bush is kicking some serious ass. This is like watching a dog battle a wet blanket: the dog gets a bit wet but has a grand ol’ time. The blanket, on the other hand, ….
Kerry gets bogged down in the fine points of who did what where while Bush pushes dogma. Kerry answers questions with painful explorations of detail and repetitiveness while Bush answers the question he wants to hear, whether it’s the one asked or not, and reformulates facts to fit the moment.
It’s pretty damned clear that Bush has been much better trained and coached for this. If Kerry is the best the Dems have to offer, we’re all screwed.
For fuck’s sake Kerry, at the very least look at the camera once in awhile. At least talk directly to the people instead of down to the floor.
And do stop nodding in agreement whenever Bush makes a point, please.
