What’s Gmail good for?
Mailing list archives. I used to get my mailing lists delivered to my personal email account and then filtered them into their own respective folders. I’ve since cancelled them all and re-subscribed using my Gmail account.
Result: way less mail on my laptop and a permanent archive of the lists indexed by Google’s search engine.
Sweet.
