Gmail: a clarification

Well, aren’t some of us a bit sensitive about Gmail these days? Re my last post: I’m thoroughly enjoying Gmail and a few interface-related bugs notwithstanding they’ve done an awesome implementation job. It took less than five messages to get comfortable with the UI.
That last post was not poking fun at Gmail you thin-skinned, bandwagon-jumping, corporate whore-wannabe’s. It was poking fun at those who are dying to get Gmail invites, who are trading real-world tangible goods and otherwise tying their sense of self-worth and personal superiority to their amorphous ownership of a few blocks of drive space in the Googleplex.
You do know that Google has an infinite supply of invites don’t you? In six months I expect my dog to have one… wait, nevermind, turns out the little bastard got one before I did.
