I just got word from Cory that he’ll be doing two book signings for Eastern Standard Tribe while he’s stopped over in Toronto:

Well worth checking out if you’re in the city. While you can download the book for free from Cory’s site, it won’t be signed.


And in that vein I’m going to take this opportunity to push another friend’s book that I just finished reading: Ventus by Karl Schroeder.

I bought this one three years ago just after we’d worked at OpenCola together and it took me that long to pick it up and dive in, primarily because O’Reilly manuals kept getting in the way. I ripped through all 500 pages in two days.

If you like hard-core sci fi, Karl is for you.
