Some of you might think I spend all day just bumming around reading blogs and shit and pretending to work really hard. Not true - Pineapple finds stuff for me and I just follow its lead.
This is the first blog that made me laugh out loud, twice, from the very first two posts I read: Ol’ Man No-sword.
I don’t know who this guy is but he lives in Japan teaching English and he’s damned funny:
During the cleaning period after school today one of my students carefully wrote two English sentences on the board, consulting his cellphone as he went. The sentences were:
I am being taught English by a robot.
I climb onto the root whenever I escape from reality“Hey, Matt,” he said (in Japanese) when he was done. “Are these right?”
“Uh… the grammar’s right.”
“Cool!” he said. Then he closed his phone, put the whiteboard pen down, and started walking towards the door.
“But do you know what they mean?” I asked.
“Sure!” he said, and laughed, and left the room.
He’s either the next Philip K. Dick, or he’s going to kill us all.
