Blast from the Past

w12zard has unearthed the original Steelbridge site, the company that would then become OpenCola, the company that would then become nothing but a giant void of inter-nyet-ness, a casualty of dot-comness. I’m glad this version has been preserved for posterity.

I was hired by Cory when it was Steelbridge and when Steelbridge was a bunch of desks crammed in a wayward corner of an ad agency. Ahh, those were good days ;-)
Y’know, I really liked the Steelbridge name better. I forget why it was decided that the company, the product, the protocol, and the concept should all be named the same thing.

He’s also got up the original COLAvision site! COLAvision was my baby, dev-released at DefCon a few years ago and then destined for a life of neglect and obscurity first by lawyering and then by… corporate… I should find a nice word to put in here.

For the record: COLAvision Broadcaster was created by Todd Hiltz and was one of the coolest, weirdest VisualBasic apps I’ve ever seen. To my knowledge nothing else exists like it. Broadcaster was cool and no one ever got to use it. Ha ha, funny joke.
